BREEZE formed in 1980 as a duo with Roy Rauschenberg and Michael Perri, playing area clubs
including the famous college hot spot Durty Nelly's in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. After a two-year run,
BREEZE added a keyboardist and Larry Dinan on drums, playing what was then Penny Lane.
In 1983, Rick Collins joined on drums, along with Lenny DePasqual on keyboards and the band
moved to Seachasers in Pompano Beach. Rick was later replaced with Joe Moss. After nine years
as the house band BREEZE moved on to other venues. During their run at Mangos on Las Olas
in the mid 90s, Edward Huerta and Ron Rummage were brought in on keyboards and bass.
Kenny Kosicki took over the bass for the band in 2000. During their three+ decades,
BREEZE quickly became one of the most sought after bands in South Florida, with appearances
at Boston's on the Beach, Mangos, Coconuts, Tarpon Bend, Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood
and Coconut Creek and O'Hara's to name a few.
BREEZE has also headlined at many outdoor
events including SunFest®, The Pompano and Fort Lauderdale Seafood Festivals and The Starlight
Concert Series. The band has opened for major acts such as Blood, Sweat & Tears, America,
Jefferson Starship, The Beach Boys, The Rascals, Badfinger, Steppenwolf, and Kansas—
and were chosen by the Miami Dolphins® as their official tailgate band.
